The new Outback Wilderness comes with exclusive exterior design elements including an impressive 9.5 inches of ground clearance, a front skid plate, redesigned front and rear bumpers that make clearing obstacles easier, an anti-glare hood design, and 17" matte-black alloy off-road wheels with all-terrain tires. Both Subaru Outback models come standard with roof rails, but the rails of the 2022 Outback Wilderness are reinforced with Anodized Copper-finish accents so it can hold a rooftop tent for camping. The Outback Wilderness even has its own exclusive exterior paint color: Geyser Blue. Both Subaru models, though, come standard with LED steering responsive headlights for added visibility.

The 2022 Outback Wilderness isn't just as rugged inside as it is outside. While the standard Outback starts out with cloth upholstery, the new Outback Wilderness features exclusive textured StarTex® water-repellent upholstery with embossed headrests featuring the Wilderness logo. Also, the Anodized Copper-finish accents are featured inside the 2022 Outback Wilderness on the steering wheel and gear shifter. In the technology department, both 2022 Outback models have popular features like Bluetooth® audio streaming and phone connectivity as well as Apple CarPlay™ & Android Auto™ for smartphone integration standard. But, the Outback Wilderness has an 11.6" touchscreen display while the standard Outback has dual 7" touchscreens.
